maury to the povich

there are two tvs in the room where jimmyk and sportymamasboy work. one tv is always locked on a news channel while the other, well, is all about maury to the povich.

i used to watch maury povich as a young adult. looking back on it i'm wondering how i got away with watching such crap but i don't think he did as many paternity tests back then.

since i share this room with my co-host after jimmyk and sportymamasboy leave we turn it into a casino. here's how: we bet on who the baby daddy is. or, in some cases, if the baby has a daddy. sometimes, the baby daddy was the baby uncle. and other times, the mama can't even remember the sex that led to having the baby.

my favorite has to be a show last week. the woman was on maury for the fifth time. every time before that she accused different guys of being her baby daddy and every freakin' time they weren't! she would jump up, scream "oh god! it ain't true. it aint!" as she ran off stage and cried her eyes out. so then last week, she was sure her fifth baby had a daddy and she was sure it was the dude on the show. i bet my co-host that he wasn't the daddy. co-host said, "but this is her fifth time on the show. she has to be sure this time!"

"calm down co-host. calm down," i said as i waited for maury to the povich to reveal the paternity test results.

wait for it...

"OH GOD, IT AIN'T TRUE. IT AIN'T. NOT AGAIN!" yup. i won. co-host still owes me an orange dream machine from jamba juice.
